I got this BS backed up for lulz. If they gave a flying f*** about the community, they would give us a damn client to beta test for all R4P3 members.

Since we give a damn about security and would give them way more proper testing than anywhere else, considering a lot of us around here develop software, quality test, and know security-related practices.

Guys, calm down.. You really think there will be more than 300 users, which want to participate? TeamSpeak has already lost most of their user base.

Cause the information are so little and you had need to follow that shit a couple of weeks I think, they will have problems to fill up the 300 user.. xD

i don't think so, it's above 300 trust me.
BTW: there will be 100 winners and 1 winner will get 3 betakeys so they should fill it up with (at least) 100 users.

So what was the fucking point of the register for beta on the download page if they are going to do this puzzle.

"We will be sending out small batches of invites to everybody that has registered an interest in joining our beta programme." Everyone that has signed up for the beta on the download page will recieve an email inviting them to the beta.

And I'm being one of the guilty people that is running an infinite script for multiple email addresses, registering on myTeamSpeak and then registering on that form.
PS: I feel like it's moving all around o:

Not just will these be blocked, your main ones will too. Don't worry, we'll tell you how the beta is. :)

I don't care about Betas, I care about final products. :D

PS: I don't know how they'll get my main ones, but I hope they make a good research job.

Teamspeak added a new variable called client_signed_badges does anyone know some information about that?
Client-signed badges sounds like they are attempting to fight back at @Bluscream and his awesome badge applicator tool. Basically they're going to apply the idea of signatures to clients to prevent badges from just randomly being applied.

It's the idea of game hacking, right? I have a game server and 10 gaming clients.

Player 1 has 100 health.
Player 2 shoots Player 1.

Player 1 has Cheat Engine running and frozen his health value to 100.

If the server does not handle the health/shots of players then damn things in the game just will not work properly.

Why? Servers need to always make sure the input or data makes sense. Can a player shoot 100 bullets in 1 second? No, so the server does not let a client do that.

Can someone have badges with code 1234? No, now each client has a signed badge of for example THJAFY67f8aewfe567AGFHJE4tageg.. so they're going to have signed badges. Instead of badge 1234 etc. They are trying to secure badge codes in my opinion so they cannot be stolen so easily. A step in the right direction but they have a hell of a lot more work to do than securing badge codes.

Just my guess anyway, also if anyone is interested in winning cool gamer tech:

What the hell are they trying to do?

Problems for the hoster as always, only now even more.
Abusive slots prices, timespeak do not realize that you do not earn money by charging expensive, but earn by charging little and selling a lot.

all of them migrated into contention because it is free, if the team speech was cheaper, that would hardly happen, since people would not have to pay a high value on the server, it could have a much larger number of licensed servers if the price were not so high high ! .

and with that this software would not be on the brink of total bankruptcy as it is today.

simple.

Yeah I also share that opinion. But if they wanna do that check, they will need to force usage of myteamspeak. Without that check memory can be manipulated, and shared badges would work.
